After touring with Albert Ayler, Peacock took time off from music and moved to Japan in 1969, where he studied eastern philosophy and medicine.
However, while in Japan, Peacock did make some recordings with singer Helen Merrill for instance and this one, with pianist Masabumi Kikuchi and two percusionists. A very nice and clever record and probably the first with Peacock's composition "Voices from the Past".
