그레이스 켈리가 존경해 마지않는 Frank Morgan
포스팅을 준비하다가 오랜만에 들어보는
곡 The Nearness of You에 꽂혔답니다.
엘라와 암스트롱 버전으로 듣곤 했는데
이젠 엘라의 목소리가 너무 고와서
더 이상 듣지 않게 되네요.(암스트롱은 좀 안정된 분위기로 불러 나름 좋아요.)
프랭크 모간은 다음으로 미루고,
(요건 듀크님이 저에게 제 역량에 넘치는 주문을 하는 바람에
머리가 멍 때리고 있음, 프랭크 모간 넘 많이 들어서. 쓸 감상평이 생각이 안나요.)

The Nearness of You"는 "Stardust", "Georgia on My Mind" (lyrics by Stuart Gorrell), "The Nearness of You", "Heart and Soul 을 작곡한 것으로 잘 알려진 Hoagy Carmichael 작곡에 Ned Washington 작사로 1938년에 만들어진 대중가요이다. 이 노래는 파라마운트 영화 in the Dark (1938)에서 메트로폴리탄 오페라의 주연배우 Gladys Swarthout가 불렀다. 그러나 이 기원에 대해선 몇 몇의 주장이 다르기도 하다.
