교양 영어 과목에 1학기 마지막 관문은 자기소개서를 만들고 프레젠테이션을 하는 것이랍니다. 우선 원고를 쓰고 교수님께서 원고 내용을 수정합니다. 한 번도 경험해보지 않은 프레젠테이션을 잘할 수 있을까, 걱정이 됩니다만, 노력하면 못할 것도 없겠다, 고 생각하려고요. 과제의 조건은 이러하답니다.

  Hi, guys! I’m En Kim, a first year,  student of Philosophy. It’s nice to study English with you. Here are four keywords that show who I am. 

  I’m a party person and I love music, especially jazz, Also I love to travel to drive in a convertible. In addition I love to read and write books.  

  First of all, I like to have parties. My friends often call me,  the queen of parties. As the hostess of the party, I prepare not only the food and drinks,  but also music, sometimes romantic movies. We eat delicious food, sing or dance to music  and chat endlessly. I often get too drunk  but I’m still happy.

  The next keyword is music. I love many types of music like classical, world music, pop songs, jazz  and so on. But I especially love jazz. When I was in the most difficult time in my life, jazz was always with me. Jazz is more than family and friends for me. In addition to listening to jazz, I post articles about jazz on my blog, Instagram and Facebook, I often post on Jazzel  which is a group for jazz enthusiasts. To my surprise, I got a message from an independent Italian label. They asked me to listen to their newly released albums and then write a review. I was shocked at first, but I soon started listening to the album and wrote a review and sent them as well as I posted it on my blog, instagram,  Facebook  and Jazzel. I really feel that the world is connected as one. It is very enjoyable that someone out there is reading my writings.

 

  Next I like to travel to drive a convertible feeling the wind. A convertible at this age, some people may be surprised and they might laugh at me, but I don’t care. Still I have my own reasons. Looking at the Mazda MX6 passing by me, when I was in the most difficult time, I swore that I will definitely ride a convertible someday. Pursuing that dream, I drove one of

Chrysler’s for three years. Guess what! To drive with the car open, listening to jazz loudly, I was the happiest person in the world.

 

My last keyword is to read and write books, like poetry, novels. If I read what other people wrote, I want to write like that. In the imaginary world I created, not only can I become a better and happier person than anyone else. but I can go further and help others to create a better world. It is also my greatest goal in life to write something that comforts, sympathizes with, and encourages someone who is tired so that they can live a new life again. How cool is that?

 

  Of course, I like many other things besides the ones listed, but I think my life is too short to enjoy more things. Now, for the rest of my life, I'm going to stick to the four things I mentioned above. Now you can guess who I am from the four keywords I gave you. Thanks for listening. (The End)
