저에게 방문객이란 요즈음 재즈라는 음악이 아닌가, 혼자 빙긋 웃습니다.


오늘 새벽, 제 지난 1년을 정리하다가 잠을 설쳤더니, 오후 내내 병아리처럼 난로 곁에서 꾸벅꾸벅 졸았습니다. 저녁 무렵, 듀크님의 포스팅 곡들에 놀라, 뻥 때리다가, 리브맨의 포스팅을 하고 있으려니, 이건 참. 뭐라고 할까요? 이 무한의 세계에서 제가 길을 잃는 것은 아닌지, 하는 두려움이. 음악이란 그저 즐기는, 제 인생을 맛깔스럽게 하는, 혹은 품위를 높여줄 내 내면의 우아한 그림, 중 하나라고 생각했는데, 이 황홀경은 뭐랍니까? 오늘은 쉽게 잠들지 못할 밤인 것 같습니다. 밴친님들은 푹 쉬시고 내일 또 뵙겠습니다.

David Liebman (born September 4, 1946)은 미국의 색소포니스트이자 플루트 연주자이다. 2010년에 그는 NEA가 재즈 마스터들에게 수여하는 평생 공로상을 받았다. (National Endowment for the Arts Jazz)
초기의 삶과 경력Early life and career
