Diana Panton

Diana Ariadne Panton 은 캐나다의 재즈 보컬로 2015년에 앨범 Red로 그 해의 가장 최고의 보컬 앨범에게 주는 앨범 Juno상을 수상했다. 그녀는 자신의 앨범 If the Moon Turns Green(2009), To Brazil with Love(2012), Christmas Kiss(2013)에 같은 상을 3번이나 후보에 올랐다. 2017년에는I Believe in Little Things라는 앨범으로 그 해의 어린이 앨범에게 주는 Juno상을 수상했다. 그녀의 첫 번째 앨범,..Yesterday Perhaps 와 그녀의 세 번째 앨범 Pink는 일본의 재즈 비평 잡지에 의해 실버 디스크 상을 수상했다. Panton은 Hamilton All Star Jazz Bands의 멤버로서 음악 경력을 시작했다. 그녀가 밴대와 함께 공연을 하는 것을 듣고 베타랑 다수의 악기를 다루는 Don Thompson이 자신이 교수로서 근무를 하고 있는 Banff Centre에 그녀를 초대했다. 이것은 10년 후에 Thompson과 Panton의 콜라보 앨범을 탄생케 했다. SHer first album, . were awarded Silver Disc Awards by Japan's Jazz Critique magazine.

Panton holds a Master's degree in French literature from McMaster University and studied art at the Parsons School in Paris. She teaches French, art, and drama at Westdale Secondary School in Hamilton, ontario.[5][3]

On all eight albums, Panton is accompanied by Don Thompson on piano and double bass and Reg Schwager on guitar. Thompson also plays vibraphone on Pink, To Brazil with Love, Christmas Kiss, and I Believe in Little Things.

On Pink and Christmas Kiss, she is accompanied by Guido Basso on flugelhorn, trumpet, and cornet.

On To Brazil with Love, she is accompanied by Maninho Costa on vocals, drums, and percussion, Bill McBirnie on flute, Kiki Misumi on cello, and Silas Silva on drums and percussion.

Phil Dwyer plays saxophone on Red.

Coenraad Bloemendal plays cello on I Believe in Little Things.

Harrison Kennedy sings on "Christmas Kiss" and on "Red".

The version of Pink released in Japan includes one bonus track not found on the Canadian version of this album.

My Heart Sings is a live recording of a concert in Taipei on August 20, 2013.
